PRODUCT MANAGER

Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for evaluating, recommending and managing new product growth areas for VIZIO primarily focused on new revenue and margin opportunities outside core TV business Must have skill set to do technical studies of market trends to assist in overall roadmap development of VIZIO products Responsibility to include management of new Products to include Monitors, TV Accessories, Home Theatre Audio, Blu Ray, Mobile TVs, Convergence hardware JOB RESPONSIBILITY: 1.) Collaborate with Product Team on core 18 month roadmap development through analysis of market data and working with key technical suppliers and market research 2.) Evaluate new product areas outside of Core TVs for VIZIO 3.) Evaluate International Requirements for the 18 month roadmap 4.) Assist with Public Relationship and product launches in writing market specifications, definition of packaging, manuals and other key marketing collateral EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2-5 years experience in technical business practice 5-10 years experience in product management 3-5 years experience in consumer products as a product manager 1-3 years experience in managing direct reports EDUCATION: BS, MBA preferred but not required

STRATEGIC BUSINESS MANAGER – FLAT PANEL SUPPLIERS

Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This exciting position in a dynamic working environment is tasked with managing VIZIO’s supplier partnerships. The primary focus is on driving these key relationships to deliver leading edge display technology to our customers while improving VIZIO’s revenue and profit. The individual will work across all departments within VIZIO and with key ODM/EMS partners - teamwork is mandatory. The goals include development of a diverse supply base, global and efficient linked processes and world class strategic relationship management. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Translate VIZIO’s business needs and external market analysis into procurement strategies that meet business objectives. • Lead procurement processes associated with supplier selection, contract development, negotiation, and supplier management for the Core Products Group. • Develop strategic agreements with top tier flat panel manufacturers to ensure best in class pricing, allocation and time-to-market of leading edge FP displays. • Optimize our supply base to create a well balanced mix of partners that can deliver leading edge products while ensuring competitive costs, quality and delivery. • Develop and execute the WW partner strategy and perform RFQ's • Work effectively on cross-functional, cross-geographic teams to drive global cost savings strategies. • Influence executive management to ensure sponsorship of procurement strategies and successful execution of plans. • Benchmark industry and procurement best practices and incorporate those practices into procurement strategies. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's (undergraduate) or Master's (graduate) degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years total related experience • Successful history of working with an Asian supply base – long term relationships essential • Demonstrated ability to apply strong project management skills to manage complex projects in a demanding environment • Extensive knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and contract management • 5+ years of contract negotiation experience. • 5+ years of supply chain experience • CE or Display product Supply Chain or Procurement experience within the past 3 years • Expertise in analysis of pricing and technology trends • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written • Proven ability to communicate on all levels of management, internal and external • Ability to think "outside of the box" for creative solutions and savings strategies • Proven leadership skills • Ability to “multitask” effectively in a fast paced environment • Multilingual – English and Mandarin
